We are currently recruiting a
Commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Fitter to join a well-established commercial vehicle manufacturing and engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fitter looking for a permanent position with long-term career development in a professional manufacturing environment.

Salary: £43,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role As a
Commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting commercial vehicle body structures and components, including concrete mixers, crane bodies, plant bodies, recovery bodies and trailers. You will work with hydraulic and basic electrical systems while ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Assemble and fit commercial vehicle body structures and components.
- Carry out hydraulic fitting, including making hose kits, working with hydraulic rams and air line systems.
- Complete basic auto electrical work, including wiring lights, illuminated signage and crane equipment.
- Build products in accordance with technical engineering drawings.
- Work to production schedules to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure completed work meets company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For - Previous experience in a similar hydraulic fitting or commercial vehicle body building role.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems and basic auto electrics.
- Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
