We are recruiting an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects within a specialist precision engineering and manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a project coordination professional looking to develop their project management experience while working closely with Key Account Managers, Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality teams.

About the Role

As a Project Coordinator, you will act as an organisational hub for multiple projects, supporting Key Account Managers with day-to-day project management and ensuring activities are coordinated, tracked and completed on time.

You will maintain project documentation, monitor progress, coordinate internal teams, support customer-facing deliverables and help ensure projects remain aligned with customer requirements, engineering processes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Key Account Managers with the day-to-day management of multiple projects
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers and project status reports
  • Coordinate internal project meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes and track actions through to completion
  • Maintain accurate project information across relevant systems, including ERP, CRM and SharePoint
  • Support and coordinate Management of Change processes
  • Assist with quotations, variations, costings, purchase orders and contract documentation as required
  • Track customer requirements, technical specifications and scope changes
  • Support the preparation of customer reports, presentations and project progress updates
  • Help manage customer communication and ensure timely responses
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality teams to ensure project activities are appropriately scheduled
  • Monitor material availability and procurement progress and proactively raise potential issues
  • Follow up with internal departments to confirm task completion and identify potential delays
  • Maintain accurate project data for KPIs, including on-time delivery, margin tracking and workload metrics
  • Assist with monthly project performance reports and financial summaries
  • Ensure project documentation complies with company quality standards and engineering procedures
  • Identify process gaps and support initiatives to improve project workflows
  • Contribute to lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement activities
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in project coordination, project management or project planning
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing or technical services would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
  • Familiarity with project tracking or project management tools
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong team-working and relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused and professional approach
Experience supporting Key Account Managers or customer-facing project teams would be desirable.
Knowledge of engineering terminology, technical drawings, BOMs or manufacturing workflows would be advantageous.

Experience with ERP, CRM or project management systems, or an understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, would also be beneficial.
