About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to lead a team within a high-volume, fully automated manufacturing environment producing precision medical products.
The role is responsible for supporting production and maintenance teams, improving equipment and process efficiency, driving structured problem-solving and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Manufacturing Support

• Lead a team of engineers and/or technicians providing direct support to production and maintenance teams.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of daily process and equipment issues.
• Use data-driven approaches and structured problem-solving to investigate and resolve process issues.
• Standardise and optimise equipment setup to improve efficiency and process capability.
• Identify opportunities to upgrade equipment and improve manufacturing performance.
• Review preventative maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Work with material suppliers to ensure machine and process capability and maintain process stability.

New Equipment & Process Development

• Work closely with development teams on new equipment and processes.
• Establish robust process windows and support effective handover into production.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the assigned process engineering area.

Quality & Compliance

• Lead QN, Customer Complaint and CAPA investigations.
• Manage the change control process within the assigned area, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are completed.
• Ensure activities comply with the Business Quality Policy.
• Ensure all tasks are appropriately risk assessed and carried out safely.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead the training and development of technicians within the assigned process engineering area.
• Carry out performance reviews and set objectives for direct reports.
• Follow the absence management process where required.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement, technical development and high performance.

What We're Looking For
Essential

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 10 years' process engineering experience with people management.
• Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-speed automation.
• Experience with precision mechanical setup.
• Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience applying Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Lean techniques, including Standard Work and TPM.
• Familiarity with equipment validation and documentation within a regulated industry.
